— As reported earlier, Steve Austin is filming a movie called “Damage” in Vancouver. There is said to be a lot of fight scenes in the movie. They’ve recruited area boxers and MMA fighters to be his “jobbers” in a montage fight scene of Austin beating one person after another. The film’s director wanted to use real fighters instead of stuntmen or pro wrestlers because he made it clear that he doesn’t want the fight scenes to resemble professional wrestling. Paul Lazenby, a former announcer for Bodog, and is both a pro wrestler and MMA fighter, is among the “jobbers.”

— In its first week out, the WWE Unforgiven DVD finished in second place on Billboard‘s Video Sales – Recreational Sports DVD, behind a DVD on NHL player Sidney Crosby. WWE’s only other title on the chart is that of Mr. Perfect. The Rock DVD finally fell off the chart after being on it every single week since its release in June.

— WWE Raw Superstar Snitsky was scheduled to wrestle Jerry “The King” Lawler in the main event of the November 7th event in Nashville, TN celebrating Lawler’s 35 years in the pro wrestling industry, but the yellow-toothed one has been pulled for reasons undisclosed.
