St. Cloud State to face McKendree in NWCA title match

SCSU defeated Central Oklahoma in the semifinals

The #1 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (9-0, 2-0 NSIC) punched its ticket to the championship match of the NWCA Division II National Duals thanks to a 22-12 win over #6 Central Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 11 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Huskies will now match up with #5 McKendree in the title match of the NWCA National Duals tournament at 2 p.m. CT on Jan. 11 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Huskies gained wins by Garrett Vos at 133, Garrett Aldrich at 141, James Pleski at 149, Jake Barzowski at 157, Devin FitzPatrick at 165, Kolton Eischens at 174 and Noah Ryan at 197 to bring home the victory over Central Oklahoma.

Of note, Barzowski charted a 3-1 OT win over #4 Ty Lucas of UCO at 157 and FitzPatrick posted a 10-1 major win over #6 Dayton Garrett of UCO at 165. At 197, Ryan added a 3-1 win over #10 Kalin Winkler of UCO.
